Each year, three directors’ terms are up for re-election. Any member in good standing who would like to serve on the board must complete and return a Board of Directors’ application. An application does not guarantee a nomination, but if chosen, serving on the Mosinee Area Chamber of Commerce (MACOC) board will be a rewarding experience. Serving as a board member is a volunteer position.
The Role of the Board
The board of directors’ expectations are as follows:
-Attend regularly scheduled board meetings
-Attend committee meetings as necessary
-Assist in establishing policy and oversee the activities
-Attend annual planning session where goals are established
-Chair at least one committee
-Volunteer time at MACOC events
The Right Candidate
-Will commit to serving a three-year term
-Will bring enthusiasm and new perspectives to the board
-Will have the desire to be involved in the community
-Will be punctual and make every effort to attend meetings and events
Application materials can be picked up at the chamber office, emailed to you, or MACOC Board of Director Application. Please contact the chamber for more information.
If there are more nominations than there are positions available, the membership will vote for the new directors at the MACOC Annual meeting on Wednesday, October 18th.

The Mosinee Area Chamber of Commerce and Village of Kronenwetter partnered to host the Bike & Walk for the Health of It event at Towering Pines Park in Kronenwetter yesterday evening. The event saw a record number of participants that were able to enjoy a night of family fun and the wonderful May sunshine. Four lucky youth rode away with new bikes and all of the kids were able to walk away with a door prize thanks to the many sponsors that made the event possible.
This family event included a short presentation on bike and pedestrian safety from Kronenwetter Police Officers Gorell and McCaskill and had three route options for participants; a 1-mile walking route, a basic 3-mile bike route, and an advanced 9-mile bike route. Once bikers and walkers returned to the park, water and snacks were available for all participants. Thanks to a sponsorship from Stine Eye Center, Aspirus, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Ontogeny Advertising and Design, Two’s Company, Breitenfeldt Associates, Kwik Trip, The Waraksa Group at Coldwell Banker, and The Wausau Wheelers, the event was a terrific success.
