WHEDA offers a Small Business Guarantee for startup business opportunities such as adult and child daycare centers or for businesses located in vacant storefronts in the downtown area of a rural community. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) also offers loan guarantees to participating lenders on loans for new construction, purchase of land/buildings, purchase of equipment, working capital, and even refinancing debt. The SBA offers long-term financing options. Finally, Wisconsin Business Development (WBD) partners with the SBA to offer the 504 loan program that helps businesses purchase or expand commercial real estate and equipment.
