Marathon City, Wis. - Rib River by Accentu is gearing up for their second wedding season under new ownership. The venue is newly renovated to accommodate roughly 300 guests. The venue has weddings booked from now until November and is currently booking for 2024 weddings! This ballroom was home to many events over the last few decades, including polka bands but the legacy of the historic building lives on through the new ownership. 

Rib River by Accentu boasts a warm, cozy atmosphere that will leave guests feeling like they just escaped to an elegant barn in the countryside. The venue is a truly rustic elegance and offers a one stop shop for all things weddings as the parent company offers day of coordinating, wedding planning, and design services for weddings. The parent company, Accentu, Inc. was recently a finalist for the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award. The company has seen exponential growth in the last year and will continue on the path for years to come. The company has completed phase one of the construction plan for the venue, formerly known for decades as Rib River Ballroom. 

There are numerous events coming up, including weddings, banquets, but there are also a few events that are open to the public. The venue is hosting N E W Dueling Pianos on Friday, May 5th, tickets can be purchased through eventbrite. Additionally, there is a fundraiser April 22nd for Joe and Becky Creekmore hosted by the Waraksa Group at Coldwell Banker Action and Comedy Night on May 20th. The team is gearing up for a Mother’s Day Brunch after over 500 individuals celebrated Easter Brunch at Rib River.
